The lack of basic amenities like smoke alarms and proper Wi-Fi access really cripples the experience!!! Consider upgrading facilities and ensuring the rooms are properly cleaned and maintained before welcoming guests!!!

An unexpected surprise on the river

The river view from the room was gorgeous, and the staff was incredibly welcoming, making the start of our stay delightful.

The river view is fine. I enjoyed the picnic area with grills. The location is a short drive from local attractions. The staff was cute and helpful.

Had a great time with friends soaking in the vibes and exploring local sites. We loved hiking nearby trails and chilling by the river. The staff was super friendly and always ready to help. Definitely enjoy the outdoor setup with rocking chairs by the water!

We did notice some maintenance issues, like the pool being closed and the property needing some upgrades. It could definitely benefit from a little TLC.

The location along the river is beautiful. I enjoyed the peaceful vibe and the rocking chairs on the porch. The staff were friendly and tried their best despite clear signs of being short-staffed. The bed was comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day of exploring. However, the hotel has many maintenance issues. The shower head wasn't functioning properly, with cracks that caused water to spray everywhere. The pool was closed and looked like it hadn't been maintained for some time. Housekeeping was nonexistent during my stay, and I had to deal with dirty towels piling up since no one came to clean the room. The check-in process was also frustrating, as I had to wait longer than expected for someone to assist me. It's a shame because this place could be so charming with proper care.

Rooms are partially updated, but our AC unit leaked throughout the stay.

If you’re on the hunt for some down-home cooking, don't miss the local eats nearby—those biscuits are like little bites of heaven! Plus, the outdoor setup by the river with picnic tables and string lights adds a chill vibe. The friendly office staff made for a welcoming start after we settled in.

The check-in process had us twiddling our thumbs, waiting way longer than expected. Plus, dealing with a power outage while nobody was around to help made the night a little too spooky for my taste.

Don’t skip the peaceful back porch. it’s perfect for enjoying your morning coffee with a stunning view.

the queen room was cozy and had good lighting. it was right by the riverbank, perfect for a relaxing stroll. we loved the comfortable bed and the close proximity to local attractions like the train!

during my stay, I enjoyed the stunning views of the Oconaluftee River right from my room, and its proximity to the Smoky Mountain Trains Museum made my weekend strolls truly delightful, offering plenty of local sights to explore.

Mixed Experience but Beautiful Setting

I spent a night here and loved the riverside picnic area with its cozy ambiance and twinkling lights. However, the back door of my room wouldn’t secure properly, which made me feel uneasy. If you stay here, perhaps bring a small door stop for extra peace of mind!

We loved the beautiful riverside location and enjoyed some peaceful evenings by the water. The nearby attractions were fun and accessible for our young ones.

For dads, it would be great if the kitchen were better equipped for family meals.
